FAQs

What does SenseBack hope to achieve?

SenseBack aims to develop and pre-clinically evaluate novel invasive technologies that enable sending information about the state of a prosthesis back to the user’s nervous system. Building this level of feedback into prosthetic devices will enable much higher levels of function to be achieved than is currently possible. Device users would be able to naturally reach out and pick up a glass, for example, whilst maintaining eye contact in a conversation, or pick up an apple without bruising it.

How can I contribute to SenseBack?

There are many ways you can contribute to this project. If you are a prosthesis user please visit the volunteers page. If you are a member of the press, please contact us.
